Pikesville fans certainly got their money's worth at Forbes Field '09. Johnny Klippstein(1-0) pitched a rare no-hitter as the Pikesville Rye 6 toppled the Gobie Tweeners 3 to 0.

Klippstein was just too much for Gobie. He gave his hometown fans a game they'll never forget! He walked 2 Gobie batters. The tension was mounting with every inning after the 6th. Klippstein appeared oblivious himself to the mounting history until two were out in the 9th. Only then, did he allow himself one deep sigh and a slow trip around the mound. Pikesville had a total of 9 hits for the game.

Walter Johnson(3-3) was charged with the loss. He pitched 8 innings giving up 9 hits and 3 walks. 'Not in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen!' Klippstein said as he stood at home plate to salute the fans. 'Once I got into the later innings, I decided to challenge every hitter, and that turned out to be the right decision!'
