Sox 6 topped the Montrose Kachinas by the slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
The score was tied at 2 after nine. Chicago came out the victor in the 10th
inning. King Kelly drew a walk. Jackie Robinson got his turn next, but he
was a strikeout victim. Joe Kelley then lined a single. Ichiro Suzuki
stepped in and he would ground out scoring the run. The Montrose batters
went down meekly in the bottom of the 10th.
Tom Hughes(5-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 3 innings and allowing 2
