Sam Crawford had 2 base hits as the Lazy Daisy Ranchers defeated the Southlake
Pioneers 61 in 11 innings by a score of 3 to 2 at Forbes Field '09.
The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings. Lazy Daisy won the hard
fought contest in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Shano Collins
doubled. Crawford stepped up to the plate and he laced a one-base hit making
Lazy Daisy the victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration. Lazy
Daisy banged out 10 hits on the afternoon.
The victory went to Randy Myers(6-2) who went 2 and 2/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Billy Wagner(4-4) suffered the loss in relief. He gave up 2 hits and
no walks without retiring a batter.
